One-stop solution for all education related schemes
Atal Innovation Mission (AIM):
Launched in 2016 by the NITI Aayog
Aim: To create and foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship across the country
Objectives: Foster innovation and entrepreneurship, develop policies, provide collaboration platforms, oversee the innovation ecosystem.
Benefits: Supports initiatives like Atal Tinkering Labs, Incubation Centers, Challenges, and more, nurturing innovative ideas from students, startups, researchers.
Mid Day Meal (MDM):
Launched in 1995 by the Ministry of Education
Aim: To provide nutritious cooked meals to children in government and government-aided schools and Anganwadis
Objectives: Provide nutritious meals, improve health, increase school enrolment and retention, reduce disparities, enhance cognitive development.
Benefits: Serves 120 million children in 1.27 million schools and centers, provides free textbooks, uniforms, tablets, deworming, etc.
Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA):
Launched in 2001 by the Ministry of Education
Aim: To achieve universalisation of elementary education for all children in the age group of 6-14 years
Objectives: Achieve universal elementary education, provide access and quality education, reduce dropout rates, improve infrastructure and teacher capacity.
Benefits: Covers 200 million children in 1.4 million schools, offers interventions like school upgrades, additional teachers, free textbooks, and more.
Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV):
Launched in 2004 by the Ministry of Education
Aim: To provide residential schooling facilities for girls from disadvantaged groups in educationally backward blocks
Objectives: Provide residential schooling for girls from disadvantaged groups, increase enrolment and retention, improve quality, provide life skills and vocational training.
Benefits: Covers girls from SC, ST, OBC, Minority communities, provides schooling facilities, supplementary nutrition, health check-ups, and counselling.
Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA):
Launched in 2009 by the Ministry of Education
Aim: To enhance access and quality of secondary education for all children in the age group of 14-18 years
Objectives: Enhance access and quality of secondary education, achieve higher enrolment ratio, improve learning outcomes, reduce gender and social gaps.
Benefits: Covers 100 million children in 0.3 million schools, provides physical facilities and quality interventions like teacher training, ICT-enabled education.
